Careful with your data.

This privacy statement explains which personal data Bizzarto processes when you use our website or contact us, why we do so, how long we keep it and what your rights are.

Who are we?

Bizzarto Nederland is a trade name of Ikoon Media en Design. Ikoon Media en Design is responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this privacy statement.

Which data and why?

We only process the data you give us yourself, plus a few technical details needed to make the website work.

Saving your design in the 3D configurator

When you save a design, we receive your name, email address and, if you fill them in, your phone number, postcode and house number and your comment. We also receive the details of your design: the model, the fabric, the size of your room and your choices. We use this to advise you, prepare a quotation and arrange the sample box or the home visit. You receive a confirmation email with a link to your design.

Callback request

If you ask us to call you back, we receive your name, phone number and the time of day that suits you best. We only use this to call you.

Contact form

Through the contact form we receive your name, email address and/or phone number, your town if you fill it in, how you prefer to be contacted, what you are interested in and your message. We use this to answer your question.

Fabric guide: your fabric advice by email

If you have the fabric guide’s advice emailed to you, we receive your name, town and email address, your answers and the advice itself. We send you the advice as a PDF and keep it as an enquiry, so that an interior consultant can help you further.

Fabric guide: colour advice with a photo of your room

If you upload a photo of your room, we analyse the colours in your own browser; the photo is then not sent. Only if you explicitly choose to, we send the photo securely to an AI service (OpenAI or Google, as stated with the choice) for a more extensive analysis of style and colours. We do not store the photo; the AI service processes it under its own terms.

Showroom news (newsletter)

If you sign up to stay informed, we only store your email address. We then send you news, such as the opening of our showroom in Rotterdam. You can unsubscribe at any time, via the link in every email or by emailing us.

Phone, email and WhatsApp

If you contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp, we process your details and your message to help you. WhatsApp is a Meta service; its own terms and privacy policy also apply when you use it.

Ordering

If you order a piece of furniture, we process your name, address, email address, phone number, your order and the payments. We use this to make, invoice, deliver and assemble your furniture, and for after-sales service.

The website itself

  • Your design on your own device: the configurator remembers your design in your browser’s storage (localStorage). It stays on your device; we only receive it when you save it.
  • Security: to prevent misuse of the forms, we use your IP address briefly and in unrecognisable form (for up to one hour). Our hosting provider keeps technical log files to keep the website secure.
  • Statistics: only if you give permission, we use Google Analytics to measure how the website is used. See Cookies.
  • Fonts: the website’s fonts are loaded via Google Fonts. Google receives your IP address for this; Google does not set cookies for it.

On what basis do we process your data?

  • Performance of a contract or steps at your request: your enquiry, quotation, sample box, home visit, callback request, question, fabric advice and order.
  • Legal obligation: our accounts, such as the invoices we must keep under tax law.
  • Consent: the newsletter, the Google Analytics statistics cookies and the AI analysis of your room photo. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interest: the security of the website and the prevention of misuse.

How long do we keep your data?

  • Enquiries and questions without an order: up to two years after the last contact.
  • Customer data and orders: as long as needed for delivery, service and warranty, and after that as long as the law requires for our accounts.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Statistics: Google Analytics keeps the data according to the retention period we have set, up to 14 months.
  • Your cookie choice: one year; after that we ask again.

Who do we share your data with?

We never sell your data. We only share it when this is needed for the purposes above:

  • with our interior consultants in the Netherlands and the Bizzarto manufactory in Poland, for your advice, quotation and order;
  • with the parties that deliver and assemble your furniture;
  • with service providers working on our behalf, such as website hosting and management and our email. We make agreements with them about the security and confidentiality of your data;
  • with Google, for Google Analytics (only with your consent) and Google Fonts;
  • with the AI service (OpenAI or Google), only if you choose the AI analysis of your room photo.

Google, OpenAI and WhatsApp (Meta) may also process data outside the European Union. They participate in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for this.

Cookies

On your first visit we ask which cookies you allow. Declining is just as easy as accepting.

  • Necessary (always on): bz_consent remembers your cookie choice (one year). The configurator keeps your design in your browser’s storage.
  • Statistics (only with consent): Google Analytics, with the cookies _ga and _ga_W775KGY839 (up to two years). No advertising or profiling features; without consent Google Analytics is not loaded.

Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised use. The website uses a secure connection (https), and only staff who need your data for their work have access to it. If you think your data is not properly secured or is being misused, please contact us.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access your data;
  • have incorrect data corrected;
  • have your data deleted;
  • have the processing restricted;
  • object to the processing;
  • receive your data in a common file format (portability);
  • withdraw your consent, without affecting the processing before that.

Email your request to info@bizzarto.nl. We respond within one month. To be sure the request comes from you, we may ask you to identify yourself.

If you are not happy with how we handle your data, please let us know first. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or with the Polish supervisory authority, the Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO).

Children

Our website is not intended for children under 16. If you think we hold data of a minor without consent, please contact us and we will delete it.

No automated decisions

We do not make decisions about you that are made solely by a computer. The prices in the configurator are an indication; your quotation is prepared by an interior consultant.

Changes

We may update this privacy statement, for example when the website changes. The latest version is always on this page.

What you don't see

Build quality

You can't see the real quality of a piece of furniture: it is on the inside, in the frame, the foam, the springs and the seams. That is why a Bizzarto is strong, made for long and intensive use — and noticeably heavier.

  • Wood, plywood and steelNo chipboard, but a frame of thick wood, plywood and steel, on a strong base. It stays stable and keeps its shape, even after years of intensive use.
  • Seating comfort that lastsHigh-grade foam from Europe's top brands in the seats, including memory foam (the so-called NASA foam). It moulds itself to your body and springs back every time.
  • Springs and mechanisms for every daySprings give the seat even support. Moving parts, such as recliner and sleep functions, fold-out footrests, armrests and headrests, are made to be used every day.
  • Made by hand, double-stitchedEvery piece is made by hand in our own manufactory, with fabrics and foam from the best brands in Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Portugal. All seams are double-stitched, so the fabric and stitching stay crisp for years.
Quality from the inside

Design and build quality, personally delivered in the Netherlands: made by hand in our own manufactory, with a serial number and certificate. Dutch interior consultants, delivery and installation at home in 6–8 weeks.
