Award-winning sofa collection inspired by architect Ricardo Bofill
Bofii by Grynasz Studio pays tribute to the Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill: soft, monumental forms, honoured with the Red Dot and the German Design Award.
The collection is inspired by the work of Ricardo Bofill, one of the leading figures of postmodernism in architecture. His unusual buildings and considered use of colour are echoed in the expressive, soft lines of Bofii. The forms are friendly yet monumental; the rounded contours and organic proportions refer to the dialogue between form and function that Bofill explored. The light tones seen in the photography are drawn from sandstone, concrete and limestone, but Bofii is available in every fabric in the Bizzarto range.
Following the acclaimed armchairs, the family has grown to include two- and three-seater sofas and a sofa with a gently curved footprint that embraces those seated on it and makes conversation easier. You choose a wide or narrow armrest and a higher or lower back cushion, each with its own shape. The base is upholstered or veneered in oak in a range of colours, or replaced by solid wood legs. The recessed base makes getting up easy; swivel armchairs and matching poufs complete the collection.
