Modular sofa with rounded forms, with or without armrests
Columbus plays with curves: from straight sofas and corner arrangements to semicircular and round compositions, with or without armrests.
Curves are back, and Columbus shows just how versatile they can be. With this modular collection you can create sofas and corner sofas in a wide range of shapes, including a round version, with or without armrests. You tailor the number of seats and the shape of the arrangement to your living room. Because the collection offers various seat widths, you can also adjust the overall size precisely to the space available.
The semicircular module is available in three sizes. It can be a sofa with a distinctive shape in its own right, or form part of a corner arrangement. The rectangular pouf fits between other modules, closes off an arrangement or stands freely in the room; there is also a round pouf. An induction charger and/or USB port can optionally be built into the side panel, so your phone is always within reach.
You choose the softness of the seat and backrest, and whether the back cushions are filled with feathers or synthetic down. This way you can tune the comfort to the way you most like to sit. Columbus is designed exclusively for Bizzarto by Mika Design (Michalina Misiorny), a designer who seeks to bring the beauty and practicality of a form into balance.

Fabrics from Europe's top brandsVery high-quality fabrics from the best brands in Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Portugal, selected for a high score in the Martindale abrasion test and for being easy to clean. For outdoors: water-repellent outdoor fabrics.
You can't see the real quality of a piece of furniture: it is on the inside, in the frame, the foam, the springs and the seams. That is why a Bizzarto is strong, made for long and intensive use — and noticeably heavier.
Wood, plywood and steelNo chipboard, but a frame of thick wood, plywood and steel, on a strong base. It stays stable and keeps its shape, even after years of intensive use.
Seating comfort that lastsHigh-grade foam from Europe's top brands in the seats, including memory foam (the so-called NASA foam). It moulds itself to your body and springs back every time.
Springs and mechanisms for every daySprings give the seat even support. Moving parts, such as recliner and sleep functions, fold-out footrests, armrests and headrests, are made to be used every day.
Made by hand, double-stitchedEvery piece is made by hand in our own manufactory, with fabrics and foam from the best brands in Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Portugal. All seams are double-stitched, so the fabric and stitching stay crisp for years.
Design and build quality, personally delivered in the Netherlands: made by hand in our own manufactory, with a serial number and certificate. Dutch interior consultants, delivery and installation at home in 6–8 weeks.
