Designer corner sofas, made to fit your room.
An L-shape, a U-shaped sofa or a corner sofa with a chaise longue: you choose the shape and the size, we make it by hand. Seventeen collections are available as a corner sofa; in the 3D configurator you see your layout to scale straight away.
A designer corner sofa is an L- or U-shaped sofa built from modules with a corner module or chaise longue. It makes good use of a corner of the room and gives more people a seat. Because each collection offers its modules in different sizes, at Bizzarto you create a corner sofa made to measure.
Of the 26 sofas in our collection, 17 can be designed as a corner sofa or corner arrangement, from sleek and light to round and organic. How a modular sofa is put together is explained on our page about modular sofas. Here we help you choose: which shape, which size and which collection suits your room?
Which corner sofa suits you?
Five shapes, each with its own character. In many collections you can also combine them.
U-shaped sofa
Two corner modules create a U-shaped sofa: generous for a large family or if you often have guests. Miami, for example, can be designed as a spacious U-shaped corner sofa.
Curved corner sofa
In Columbus the semicircular module, available in three sizes, can form part of a corner arrangement. La Roche has curved modules for a soft, rounded corner. You will find more shapes under curved sofas.
With a sleeping function or storage
In a corner arrangement Calvados offers a sleeping area of up to 300 × 150 cm. Trivio and Swing come with a sleeping function and chaises longues with storage, Grande with an optional sleeping function and generous storage. See also designer sofa beds.
How big should your corner sofa be?
Start with the room, not with the sofa. Measure the walls where the corner sofa will go, check where doors, windows and walking routes are, and keep at least 90 cm of walking space clear in front of the sofa. Also bear these points in mind:
- The corner: allow for the width of the corner module, for example 100 cm in Irys or 124 cm in Spring, and decide whether the corner or chaise longue goes on the left or the right.
- The chaise longue: it reaches further into the room than the sofa itself, 175 cm in Calvados and 174 cm in Acapulco. Keep walking space clear there too.
- The depth: from 95 cm in Trivio to 143 cm in Choco. A deep corner sofa invites lounging, but needs more space. Read more about lounge sofas.
- Free-standing: if the corner sofa will not stand against a wall, choose a collection finished on all sides, such as Choco, or Dune, which works as a seating island from both sides.
In the 3D configurator you enter the shape and dimensions of your room. You see your corner sofa to scale in the floor plan and get a warning if the walking space becomes tight.

Quality you can’t see, but can feel.
A corner sofa is often where the whole family gathers, and the corner and the chaise longue are where people sit and lie the most. That is exactly where what you cannot see matters. What you see and feel is the fabric and the beautiful design; the real quality is on the inside:
- The frame: no chipboard, but thick wood, plywood and steel, in every module.
- Springs and foam: the springs provide even support, and in the seats we use high-quality foam, including memory foam (the so-called NASA foam).
- Moving parts: the sleeping function of Calvados and Trivio and the electric reclining function of Swing are made for daily use.
Because of these high-quality materials, the modules are noticeably heavier than average. Your corner sofa therefore stands firmly and is made for long, intensive use. Dune and Calvados have also won the Diament Meblarstwa, a Polish award for design, technology, innovation and functionality. Read more about quality from the inside.
Designing your corner sofa.
In the configurator you choose the model and the layout: straight, corner, U-shape or with a chaise longue. Then you choose the fabric and colour, from woven fabrics, bouclé, velvet, chenille and micro leather. In many collections, such as Aston, Norman and Mist, you also decide how soft the seat and back are; in Manhattan even per seat, so everyone in the family has their favourite spot.
Once you have saved your corner sofa without obligation, a Dutch interior consultant gets in touch. After complete advice we prepare your quotation and discuss it with you. Once you accept, you choose the fabric: with a purchase from € 15,000 in our showroom in Warsaw, where we fly you in free of charge; with a smaller purchase you receive the fabrics at home in the sample box (a large box on loan that you send back free of charge). After your final fabric choice you pay a 50% deposit and your corner sofa is made by hand, in 6–8 weeks. You then receive a message with the planned delivery date and pay the second part of the invoice; delivery and installation follow within 2 weeks. Still unsure which type of sofa to choose? Questions about corner sofas
What is a designer corner sofa?
A designer corner sofa is a corner sofa by a designer or design studio, built from modules with a corner module or chaise longue. At Bizzarto, 17 collections can be designed as a corner sofa, such as Irys and La Roche by Grynasz Studio and Miami, Spring and Columbus by Mika Design.
How much space do I need for a corner sofa?
Measure the walls where the sofa will go and keep at least 90 cm of walking space clear. With a chaise longue, allow for the extra depth, for example 175 cm in Calvados or 160 to 185 cm in Irys. In the configurator you enter the dimensions of your room and see the layout to scale.
What is the difference between a corner sofa and a sofa with a chaise longue?
A corner sofa has a corner module, so you sit on both sides of the corner. A chaise longue is an extended seat to stretch out on, without a second row of seats. In many collections, such as Irys, Miami and La Roche, you can combine the two.
Is there a designer U-shaped sofa?
Yes. With two corner modules you create a U-shaped sofa, for example in Miami, which is available as a spacious U-shaped corner sofa. A U-shaped sofa offers plenty of seats and suits a large family or a home where guests often visit.
Is there a corner sofa with a sleeping function or storage?
Yes. In a corner arrangement Calvados offers a sleeping area of up to 300 × 150 cm, and its chaise longue can include storage for bedding. Trivio, Swing and Grande are also available with a sleeping function and a chaise longue with storage.
How do I recognise a good corner sofa?
By what you cannot see. In a quality corner sofa the frame is not chipboard but thick wood, with springs and high-quality foam, including memory foam, in the seats. Lift a module: a Bizzarto module is noticeably heavier than average, and you notice that in its sturdiness, even after years.
Can I change the layout of my corner sofa later?
In Acapulco, Mist and Choco the modules are not fixed to one another, so you can rearrange the layout later. With Acapulco, for example, a corner sofa can become two separate seats and a chaise longue.
