At Bizzarto we only use the best construction materials, fabrics, fillings, yarns, metals and wood from top manufacturers. The most important components, the fabrics and the foam, come from the best brands in Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Portugal. Every piece is made by hand in our own manufactory near Poznań, by craftspeople with years of experience. That takes more time and more material — and you feel it, every day.
On this page you can read what lies beneath the fabric of a Bizzarto sofa: no chipboard, but thick wood, plywood and steel; springs; high-grade foam, including memory foam; and mechanisms made for everyday use. An upholstered piece of furniture is built in layers. Each layer has its own job — and at every layer a manufacturer can either cut costs or invest. We invest.
The frame is the skeleton of the sofa. It has to withstand years of daily use without creaking, wobbling or warping. That is why we use no chipboard, but thick wood, plywood and steel, and place the piece on a strong base: a construction that is made to last.
Under the seat, the springs provide resilience and even support. In Mood, for example, a proprietary combination of different springs works together with high-resilience foams, so the seat gives without sagging.
High-resilience foam springs back into shape every time you get up. In the seats we use high-grade foam from Europe's top brands, including memory foam (the so-called NASA foam), which moulds itself to your body. We tune the foam to the desired comfort for each collection: Manhattan has its own foam combination for a distinctly soft seat, Miami has seats of high-resilience foam. In many collections you choose how soft or firm the seat and back are.
We fill back and seat cushions with natural feathers and down, with synthetic down or with anti-allergic silicone down. Feathers and down give a soft, luxurious look; synthetic and silicone down are a good choice for allergy sufferers.
Our fabrics come from the best brands in Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Portugal. We select them for a high score in the Martindale abrasion test and for being easy to clean; the outdoor fabrics are also water-repellent. Cutting, sewing and upholstering are done by hand, and all seams are double-stitched. Curved cushions, tight seams and characteristic stitching require experience, knowledge and a steady hand — shaping the cushions of Dune is true craftsmanship.
Lift a module of a Bizzarto sofa and you notice it straight away: it is heavier than you might expect. That is no coincidence. Thick wood instead of chipboard, high-quality springs and highly resilient foam simply weigh more than the light materials used in cheaper furniture. That makes a Bizzarto strong and made for long and intensive use.
Weight is therefore an honest measure of quality. A light sofa has often been economised on exactly the parts you cannot see: the frame, the springs and the density of the foam. Those are the parts that decide whether your sofa will still sit just as well in ten years.

Bizzarto was born more than 15 years ago out of a love of design. Our furniture is made in our own manufactory near Poznań, in Poland, Europe’s largest maker of upholstered furniture. Every piece that leaves the factory has been developed by our own development, technology and model-making departments, and made by hand by craftspeople with years of experience.
Our Design & Technology department develops comfort for every body height: well-profiled backrests and carefully chosen seat and back components. Every piece receives a personal serial number and certificate.
A good sofa does not lose its shape. The filling of Riva is soft yet resilient and does not deform, even after long use. Thanks to high-quality components and a solid construction, Flow keeps its shape, resilience and appearance even with intensive daily use.

Memory foam, also called NASA foam, slowly moulds itself to your body and spreads the pressure evenly. In the seats of Bizzarto furniture we use high-grade foam, including memory foam. Your interior consultant will tell you the build-up of the seat and back for each model.
Feathers and down give a soft, luxurious look; you plump up the cushions now and then. Synthetic down or anti-allergic silicone down is a good choice for allergy sufferers. In many collections, such as Spring, Mood, Columbus and Norman, you choose the filling yourself.
Yes. In many collections you decide how soft or firm the seat and backrest are, for example in Aston, Columbus, Norman, Mist and Manhattan. In the configurator and together with your interior consultant you tune the comfort to the way you like to sit.

After your final fabric choice and the 50% deposit, your furniture goes into production. Within 6–8 weeks it is ready; you then receive a message with the planned delivery date, and delivery and installation follow within 2 weeks.
