Bizzarto Moon, round coffee table with a black top on a steel base
Round coffee tables

Round coffee tables, on their own or as a set.

A round coffee table has no corners: it looks soft and suits a straight sofa just as well as a corner sofa. Choose from five collections in black, oak and other finishes, from Ø 50 to Ø 100 cm, and feel free to combine two sizes into a set.

A round coffee table is a low table with a circular top that you place in front of or beside the sofa. Because it has no corners, it looks soft and is easy to walk around; with two or more sizes, you turn it into a set.

At Bizzarto, five collections come in a round version: Moon in five sizes, Moon Oak with a natural oak top, Purro with its open base, the sculptural Tondo and Twin with two drawers. On this page you will find every size at a glance, plus advice on the diameter that suits your sofa.

Buying guide

Which diameter suits your sofa?

A common rule of thumb is a coffee table of about two thirds of the length of your sofa, with roughly 40 to 50 cm between sofa and table. For a round table, the diameter counts as the length. See it as a starting point rather than a fixed rule: the shape of your seating area and the way you use it matter just as much.

  • With an armchair or small sofa: a compact table, such as Moon in Ø 50 or Ø 60 cm or Moon Oak in Ø 50 cm, which also works well as a side table.
  • With a sofa of around 150 cm: by the rule of thumb, a table of around Ø 100 cm, such as Moon or Moon Oak in the largest size.
  • With a large three-seater or corner sofa: the rule of thumb then exceeds the largest round table. Choose two round tables as a set, or an oval table such as Purro (110 × 45 cm).
  • With a curved sofa: a round table follows the soft line of a curved sofa.

A handy test: place a circle of cardboard in the size you have in mind on the floor. Your interior consultant is happy to advise, at your home too.

Bizzarto Tondo, round coffee table with three tops at different heights
A set of round coffee tables

Two tables, one whole.

With two or more round tables you create a layered, playful arrangement. Here is how to approach it: suggestions, not rules.

01

Play with height

Moon is designed to combine, in heights of 30, 35 and 45 cm. Placing a low and a taller table next to and partly beneath one another creates a calm, layered look.

02

Combine large and small

Pair a large table with a small one, for example Moon Ø 95 × 30 cm with Ø 50 × 45 cm. The large table forms the centrepiece, the small one is handy for a cup of coffee or a book.

03

Mix black and oak

If you like to play with materials, set Moon's black top beside the warm grain of Moon Oak: two related round tables, each with its own character.

04

Or choose a set in one design

Tondo has three tops at different heights, with storage in between. That gives you the layering of a set in a single sculptural table.

Finish

Black or oak round coffee table: which will you choose?

Black makes a round table graphic and understated; oak brings warmth and visible grain. This is how the round models are available:

  • Black: Moon has a black HPL top with an edge and legs in black powder-coated steel (RAL 9005), so top and frame form a single graphic whole. Tondo comes with black tops and a black frame, Purro in black oak and Twin with a top in black marble or black oak.
  • Oak: Moon Oak has a natural oak top on a metal base. Purro is made from solid oak in natural or walnut, and Tondo and Twin also come in natural oak.
  • Light or in colour: Tondo with a white frame (RAL 9010) or with tops in vavona burl veneer in a pearl tone, and Purro in MDF in a RAL colour of your choice, from white and graphite to bottle green or burgundy.

Quality from the inside

Quality you can't see, but can feel.

The real quality of a piece of furniture is something you cannot see. With a round coffee table you notice it when you lift it: it stands steady and stays where you put it. In our furniture we use no chipboard, but thick wood, and we choose high-quality materials: solid oak in Purro, powder-coated steel in Moon and Tondo, a metal base that gives Moon Oak its stability. That is why Bizzarto furniture is noticeably heavier than average, and made for long, intensive use.

In our sofas and armchairs the same care goes into high-quality foam in the seats, including memory foam (the so-called NASA foam), into the springs and into moving parts made for everyday use. Read more about our quality or about handmade furniture from our own manufactory.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about round coffee tables

What size round coffee table suits my sofa?

A common rule of thumb is a table of about two thirds of the length of the sofa, with roughly 40 to 50 cm in between. With a sofa of around 150 cm that brings you to about Ø 100 cm, such as Moon or Moon Oak in the largest size. With a larger sofa or corner sofa, two round tables as a set often work well.

Which round coffee table comes in black?

Moon has a black HPL top with an edge and legs in black powder-coated steel. Tondo also comes with black tops and a black frame, Purro in black oak and Twin with a top in black marble or black oak.

Is there a round oak coffee table?

Yes. Moon Oak has a natural oak top, in Ø 50, 90 or 100 cm and 35 cm high. Purro is handmade from solid oak, round Ø 70 cm and 40 cm high. Tondo and Twin also come in natural oak.

Can I put together a set of round coffee tables?

Yes. Moon is designed to combine in different sizes: five combinations of diameter and height, from Ø 50 to Ø 100 cm and from 30 to 45 cm high. Placing tables next to and partly beneath one another creates a layered look. You can also combine Moon and Moon Oak.

Is there a round coffee table with storage?

Yes. Tondo has space between its three tops to store small items. In Purro, magazines and books find a place between the slats of the open base. And Twin, with two generous drawers, also comes in a round shape.

Which round coffee table has won a design award?

Tondo by Grynasz Studio, inspired by sculptor Katarzyna Kobro. The table won the German Design Award 2025 (Excellent Design) and an Iconic Award 2025, and was a finalist in Dobry Wzór 2024.

How do you recognise a sturdy round coffee table?

By its construction and its weight. Bizzarto uses no chipboard, but thick wood and high-quality materials such as solid oak and powder-coated steel. That makes the table noticeably heavier, keeps it steady and makes it fit for long, intensive use.

What you don't see

Build quality

You can't see the real quality of a piece of furniture: it is on the inside, in the frame, the foam, the springs and the seams. That is why a Bizzarto is strong, made for long and intensive use — and noticeably heavier.

  • Wood, plywood and steelNo chipboard, but a frame of thick wood, plywood and steel, on a strong base. It stays stable and keeps its shape, even after years of intensive use.
  • Seating comfort that lastsHigh-grade foam from Europe's top brands in the seats, including memory foam (the so-called NASA foam). It moulds itself to your body and springs back every time.
  • Springs and mechanisms for every daySprings give the seat even support. Moving parts, such as recliner and sleep functions, fold-out footrests, armrests and headrests, are made to be used every day.
  • Made by hand, double-stitchedEvery piece is made by hand in our own manufactory, with fabrics and foam from the best brands in Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Portugal. All seams are double-stitched, so the fabric and stitching stay crisp for years.
