Outdoor living with indoor comfort: our designer lounge sets and garden furniture are made to stay outside all year round. Many sets withstand bright sun, rain, snow and temperatures down to -23 °C, so they can stay outside in winter too.
Per set you choose a waterproof version, which you wipe dry with a cloth after a shower, or the water-permeable ‘water goes thru’ technique, where the water drains through the fabric and the seat is quickly dry again. Can a lounge set stay outside all year round?
Yes. Sets such as Bahama, Nice and Rodos withstand bright sun, rain, snow and temperatures down to -23 °C and can stay outside all year round, including in winter.
What is the difference between waterproof and water-permeable?
With a waterproof version the water stays on top of the upholstery; after a shower you wipe it off with a dry, clean cloth and can sit down again. With the water-permeable ‘water goes thru’ version the water drains through the fabric and the seat is dry again after about an hour in the sun.
What is the garden furniture made of?
The lounge sets have a frame of shape-retaining polystyrene and upholstery in outdoor fabric; Ibiza has stainless-steel legs, Sol and Luna an aluminium frame. In Sol, Luna and Kiwi, among others, the foam is treated to be antibacterial and mould-resistant.
