Round and oval coffee tables with an open slatted base that doubles as a magazine rack
Purro is a family of coffee tables inspired by modernist architecture. The open-worked base gives the table lightness and makes room for magazines and books.
Purro grew out of a collaboration between the designers of Grynasz Studio and skilled furniture makers with many years of experience. Its inspiration comes from modernist architecture: beneath the top stands a rhythmic, open structure of vertical elements. These distinctive cut-outs make the volume light and airy and create a lively play of light and shadow. The open base is practical too, as magazines, books and newspapers find a natural home between the slats.
The table comes in two shapes: round, with a diameter of 70 cm, and oval, 110 cm long and 45 cm wide. Both are 40 cm high. Purro is handmade from solid oak in natural, walnut or black, leaving the wood grain visible. If you prefer a solid colour, there is a version in MDF finished in a RAL colour of your choice – from white and graphite to navy, bottle green or burgundy.
